Palatine™ eis the trade name for isomaltulose, a type of pure, sweet carbohydrate derived from a natural source of sucrose.
Palatinose is an ideal alternative to sucrose, glucose and maltodextrin as it provides glucose in a more balanced way, promoting energy supply over a longer period of time. Furthermore, as it has a low glycaemic index, it is suitable for diabetics, helps to supply energy without stimulating the formation of fatty deposits, promotes fat oxidation and is also non-cariogenic, i.e. it does not cause tooth decay.
Fibersol®-2 es a rich source of water-soluble dietary fibre extracted from natural corn starch. Fibersol-2 is considered to be a "resistant maltodextrin", which is considered to be a digestion-resistant dietary fibre. Fibersol-2 is low in calories and as a prebiotic it promotes the growth of favourable (prebiotic) bacteria in the intestine. Fibersol-2 has no taste and therefore does not affect the taste of food and beverages.
